Monday Morning Marketing Edition 2 | Why Rudy Huxtable didn't eat her Vegetables

M_badge_orange On this edition of Monday Morning Marketing, I talk about Rudy Huxtable from the Cosby Show and why she refused to eat her vegetables.

Here's the video:

Rudy Huxtable in this video really mimics the challenge we face with our customers. If you offer a great service or product to people, they are hesitant to try it. It's hard to convince your potential customers to "eat their vegetables".

There are obviously many approaches that you can take:

1) Tell Rudy why it's good to eat your vegetables
2) Show her what happens when someone doesn't eat their vegetables
3) Show her what happens when someone DOES eat their vegetables

The fact of the matter is, we use a combination of these tactics to let our potential customers know how great our product/service is.

Rudy probably tasted a little small vegetable and didn't like the taste. First impressions are hard to overcome if they are bad. Try not to be too concerned if your customer doesn't like your "vegetable" at the first shot, it's normal for someone to resist something on their first try.

Keep at it. Rudy will eat her vegetables one day.
